Why is a rainbow so perfectly bow shaped?
Why wouldn’t little spectrums be throughout the sky–like how a crystal is when the light hits it in a room?
I guess I do have this in the wrong catagory–sorry about that–thanks for letting me know.
What you see as a rainbow has more to do with the nature of how your eyes percieve it. It is excactly like the crystal as you describe, but with many, mircoscopic, evenly spaced particles of refraction, producing a visual breakdown of the light spectrum from its source. It is a circular bow in a rainbow because the source of lignt is also circular. The spectrum breakdown is percieved as a bow by us in direct relation to the exact angle our eyes catch the primary points of refraction, which would make it a displaced copy of the sun’s perimeter.
This is exactly the same with holography, and partly the same principle when we look into a mirror.
