MOH to my friend….?

My friend is marrying next month. She’s having a small a wedding, only 28 people including her and her fiance. I am the MOH.

She made it clear, NO bridal shower or anything. She wants this to be simple since she has married before and had a big extrafaganza the last time.

Now, people have been asking me what to get her for gifts. She didn’t make a registry and isn’t making one and when I asked her what she wants she said “Anything a newlywed couple would need.”

Well I told people that and they wanted more info. What should I tell them? Should I go with a themed kind of gift thing and just run it by my friend? HELP!
Oh and if you like the theme idea, give me some ideas besides the Around The Clock one.
Sassy, her house was burned to the ground and she lost almost everything-including her husband.

wow tiana, i am impressed! a bride who is low-key and happy with whatever she is given! she must be a sweetie!
if you know her that well could you suggest some things to those who ask? ie: corning ware casserole dishes or baking dishes or a pressure cooker? or serving pieces for her dinnerware? bed linens! feather duvets! bath linens! honestly who doesn’t need linens and who doesn’t love fresh new linens for their home?
you could also suggest gift-cards though they usually have an expiry date on them and if she didn’t use the card it would be a waste of money.
how about something for the garden – lawn chairs, b.b.q., gardening tools if she is a gardener!
what about shrubs or plants for their garden? if she likes flowers then what about a couple of beautiful vases?
and of course the good old standby – cash! everyone loves that!
