Wearing gloves for wedding?
Every since I was little I loved gloves. The just look so elegant. Heck, I used to make my mom get me gloves to go with my bonnet each Easter and everyone knew better than to try to get me to take off either.
So, I obviously want to wear them for my wedding. Has anyone worn them? How do you put your ring on? Or , would fingerless gloves be a better option?
Also, If you do the slit thing, do you leave your finger hanging out or put the glove back over the finger & ring?
If you put it on over the glove, would that look funny?
And, if you take off your gloves, would you leave them off ( & hand them to your MOH) or put them back on?
I would be wearing long gloves. I actually tried some on with my gown & it really makes all the difference!
Also, my gown is VERY formal ( has a royal train) so it’s not more a question of how it would look, but how to pull off wearing them & the ring thing.
I wore gloves down the aisle, and then when we had to hold hands I took them off and handed them to my maid of honor who put them in her purse (my bridesmaids carried purses and wore corsages.)
I didn’t want the fingerless glove, and it was more for the theme of the wedding (1950′s) than anything else. I wore them for pictures and the walk down the aisle and that’s it.
