Selecting Bridal Jewelry for your Bridesmaids
Spring and summer are the most popular times of year for weddings. That being said, early spring to early summer are the most popular times for brides to select their own bridal jewelry and their bridesmaids bridal jewelry. The bridal gowns and bridesmaids dresses have been already ordered months ago and are now arriving for final fittings, shoe selections, accessories and that all important final touch – bridal and bridesmaid jewelry selections.
Because the selection of your bridesmaid’s jewelry is an important one, here are a few items to take into consideration when making these selections. Firstly, what style of wedding are you having? Will it be at a grand ballroom or historical site? Or is your style in a garden in the afternoon? The style of bridal jewelry and bridesmaid jewelry you select should coordinate with the style of your wedding. If your wedding is very formal, maybe a chunky Swarovski crystal choker would be appropriate. If your wedding is more casual or garden style, maybe a drop style necklace and simple earrings are more appropriate. So, depending upon what your wedding style is, your bridal jewelry and bridesmaid jewelry should flow with that style.
The second factor to consider is your wedding theme and color. Sometimes, just the wedding color is enough to make the selection, but themed weddings are very popular and if you look, you will find bridal jewelry and bridesmaid jewelry that coordinates with that theme. For instance, if you were planning on having a casual but still very elegant style of wedding on a beach, there are many styles of beach bridal jewelry and beach bridesmaid jewelry that are beautiful and elegant at the same time. From shell necklaces adorned with crystals, to mother of pearl earrings, necklaces and bracelets that match, there are many selections available online and at specialty bridal boutiques. For another example, if you were going to get married in or at a vineyard, grapes may be a theme for your wedding. Whether you have a color combination or one color theme for your wedding, you can find bridal and bridesmaid jewelry that can be customized to suit your specific needs. If there are only pearls on your bridal gown, you probably want to stick with pearls, likewise with crystals. The neckline of your gown can also help determine the style of necklace you wear for your wedding day. If you have a plunging neckline, a long drop style necklace would work nicely in accenting the gown.
