How to Create Rhinestone Belt Buckle on Your Own?
Besides the usual buckles available in the market, there are buckles which are shiny and also fun fashion statements nowadays which are known as Rhinestone belt buckles. You can find them in boutiques as well as online and you would be surprised to see that they are available in a variety of different designs and colors. You would be able to save money and also make a completely unique rhinestone belt buckle or if you want you can re-create one that you saw by reading further. The time taken to complete this project could be an hour or less than but it totally depends on how complex you want the design to be.
Firstly you should see that your non-dominant hand is holding a plain metal belt buckle and a black permanent marker is held by the other. Then by using the very tip of the marker create tiny dots in your desired pattern for the rhinestones. Signs like swirls, hearts, peace signs or even names could be made. But you can skip this step if you need to cover the belt buckle in rhinestones of same color completely.
Take a bag of rhinestones that contains those color/colors you’d prefer on the belt buckle and open it. Keeping the jewel part facing upwards lay out the rhinestones flat. Be sure that piles or flipped-over rhinestones are not left. Mark it different by individual colors or sizes.
With the help of a straight pin dipped into some fabric glue, put a dot of glue on the belt buckle with the head of the pin where you want the rhinestone to go. Make sure you use only that much glue that the rhinestone is able to cover up completely. You could use a cotton swab for the larger rhinestones.
Pick up a single rhinestone making use of a pair of tweezers and force it down on the glue spot on the metal belt buckle. Try to hold it for a few seconds before you release it. Go on repeating the 3rd and 4th steps until you cover all of the space on the belt buckle which you designed earlier.
