A questionarre for school- on hotels and furnishing. Please anybody answer! =)?

) Have you ever stayed in a hotel where the furnishings did not match the overall style of the hotel?

2) If yes, what was the supposed theme?

3) Do you think there is a good range of 1920’s & 1930’s furnishing products available?

4) What colours remind you of the 1920′s & 30′s?

5) Would you prefer a pattern based around pearls and fans or roses and scallops (like lines with bumps in….)?

Yes, I have stayed at many hotels particularly in Europe where the furnishings were ultra modern and the buildings were centuries old. But the most memorable is a hotel in California called the Madonna Inn wherein every room has a different theme all of which do not match the architecture of the building but it is intended to be a fantasy experience. There is everything from a cave room to a medieval castle room.

There is a pretty good range of 20-30′s furnishings still floating around, but you have to hunt for them on the secondary market.

Mauve, celedon green, light blues are reminscent of the period to me because when I’ve picked upholstered furniture from that era, most of them had floral pastel fabrics. So probably for your questions 5 & 6, roses or other floral patterns.
