How do brides find winter coats?
Something for over the dress- not just a shawl or little bolero.. It’s going to be snowy winter.
All my search results just turn up things like articles about fur on dresses and coats for winter weddings… but I mean, I’m buying the dress early, you’d think I could find a coat.
Any suggestions or links?

While I appreciate the input, for example from Reba, it still doesnt give me any ideas other than “look for something somewhere closer to the wedding” but where do I look? There are no “coat” sections on bridal sites.. and there are no ‘bridal’ sections where I usually buy coats..
I would just like to get an idea of pricing, availability, etc. where are these pretty cloaks i’m hearing about at?
oof, i feel like that came off as rude… I don’t mean to.. it’s just a little frustrating! It’ll look ridiculous not wearing a coat in the snow when pictures (like to the “just married” car) get taken..
I wore a fur trimmed velvet cape for my December wedding, with a white fur hat instead of a veil. I liked it and it was appropriate for the weather. I was the only one not freezing for the photos too! Best of luck for your wedding.
Ok more info! My sister made my cape for me, and the hat. She is a fashion designer so I guess I’m lucky. However a good seamstress would be able to make one for you and it wouldn’t be that expensive I’m sure. Phone one up and ask for a quote.
