what to carry for wedding?
I would like my bridesmaids to carry a small bouquet down the aisle, and also have parasoles as props for photos (as well as it will be very hot in outdoor wedding) is this over the top? also wondering about providing some parasols for guests to stay out of sun, thoughts? suggestions?
i dont want them to carry both down aisle, just have them for props for photos
I’m sorry if anyone has got the wrong idea from my question. What I am wondering is this… can I… have myself and 2 bridesmaids walk down the aisle each with flowers, then afterwards for professional photos can we use the parasols? Not carry both at the same time. Thanks
I think it may be a bit too much to have them carry bouquets and the parasols during the processional, however you can definitely alternate both with ease.
If you really want to incorporate flowers and the parasols for the processional I would recommend doing one of two things: wrap flowers and ivy up the handle of the parasols with a few threaded flours hanging off the end of the handle, or you could have them walk with the parasols closed and a small bouquet wrapped into the base of the handle. I think either of these could be done well, but it could still end up looking a bit forced.
Alternatively, you could have the girls walk down the aisle with small bouquets, which I think makes for a prettier picture and an easier walk. No worries about parasol shadows, or the girls carrying them just right so their faces aren’t hidden. Then you get the actual wedding photos with the flowers, and do any posed pictures with parasols.
A friend of mine ended up doing the alternative suggestion and the photos came out really cute. Faces blurred to protect the guilty.
